Because your PSU doesn't provide sufficient power to the PCIE, it won't work.

You've been getting this same answer many times.

So either buy a PSU in the range Mr Grim has given you earlier,
or buy two new graphics cards that do have 6 pins.

The 9800 gt cards are actually 8800's with a new sticker on them.


About SLI I don't know enough to give an educated answer.

Hi Edrik, that card doesn't have the 6 pin connector so as I said earlier you will need to change the PSU or the Cards your using because they just aren't compatible for use in your SLI configuration.

are there any cheap PSU's out there which could pack the same punch as a corsair 1000 HX ?

another thing... if i were to get video cards instead of a PSU.... then what would i look for in a video card ? how would i know if my PSU could supply that videocard enough power?

The 450 or 550 are both single rail and both will do the job, however if you are thinking of getting some better cards in the future you should probably go for the 550.

what if i would change my video cards ? will "faster" cards (like a quadro for example) work with my current PSU ?
