That's not the one he has Chev, he has the green version here which is a energy saving model and doesn't have the gold fingers or a 6 pin power connection.

Whats interesting is the the card you listed in the above post is this one.

But the picture you showed is of a completely different card, which by the way only draws 75watts.

So I'm left to wonder which card you are using?

if it only draws 75watts. what could be causing my other video card not being detected ?

sometimes it gets detected.. then after i launch too many apps (revit architecture) my computer stops responding and after reboot my other card is missing again..

maybe it has something to do with cmos or bios setup ?
*i dont really know im a noob at these kinda things*

I would think it's more driver related. Which Nvidia drivers are you using for it?

You might try going here to see what drivers Nvidia says you need.

Those are the latest ones. I'm sure you have gone into Nvidia control panel and enabled SLI. Also seems like a 1000 watt PSU can handle getting 75 watts to the pci slots but I've never heard of that brand before.

Total power available to the system ATM is 160 Watts/ 13 Amps

2 x 9800 GT = 150Ws/ 12.5A Normal use, Max Load more like 200W

Core™ i7 920 2.66 ghz = 130W/ 10.83A

Total = 280W/ 23.33A Minimum Requirements

Total under Full Load more like 330W/ 27.5A

As you can see there is not enough power to run everything with any sort of load.
