i think my brand new VIDEO CARD is broken

fitting ? by that.. do you mean putting all the wirings and stuff ?

Just found out that they have a Corsair 1000HX... maybe if I could return the Cougar PSU and add Php 4,000 - (around 80$) to buy the Corsair 1000HX..

the guys at pchub told me it was driver issues doing the problem..
they installed the latest drivers for my vidcards and until now my monitor is working fine... but after i restarted my computer *after a really long project render* one of the video cards went undetected again..

and another thing.. im running 32bit windows 7 build 7264..
Windows tells me that I have 6.00GB installed but only 2.00GB is usable..
any ideas ?

would installing x64 OS resolve this issue ? (the ram & video card issue)

Absolutely, x64 for sure because you can only read 4 Gigs with x86 and you have 2 Gigs of Dedicated Video RAM as well, so that only leaves 2 Gigs of system RAM out of the 6 Gigs usable.

The guys you took the system to, are they the same people who built it for you, because they sound like a bunch of idiots and I take it you didn't get the PSU you said you were going to get, if not I would seriously consider it because you will struggle without it. Did you mention the PSU to them, what was their response?

yes they built my rig.. but i chose my parts....obviously i asked them if my PSU could handle all the "stuff" i've put in.. (since my first PSU choice was only a cougar700CM series 700watts, they suggested that going for 1000watts would be better)

and yes i have mentioned the PSU issue.. i even showed this thread......
the tech there told me that there is no v12 rails (or whatever it is he said) connected on my cards

(he said the 1000 watts would be enough and for me to try plugging my rig directly on an outlet... which i didnt try because a powershortage might rupture my system...)

and yeah i didnt get the supposedly better PSU since im short on cash
and i think they most likely wont allow me to exchange my crap PSU with a better one and pay for the remaining balance..

my rig is still working fine.. (with only one video card) but without SLI enabled which is what i really need at the moment for rendering.. and modelling my project...

I'll try putting x64 on my system after downloading it and maybe some miracle would happen

so the reason my system is still kinda slow is because im running the wrong platform for my rig ?
would upgrading to x64 really boost the performance ?

The PSU you suggested to them was actually a better one for you then the one they told you to get, the one they told you to get has 6x12 Volt rails so you divide the 1000 Watts into 6 and that gives about 160 watts per 12 V Rail, where as the 700 Watt you originally wanted only had 2x12 Volt Rails giving you 350 Watts for each 12 Volt Rail, looking at the specs they give you on their site it states you get 30 Amps on each 12v rail.

So they told you your Graphics Cards weren't connected to a 12v rail, if that's true I would very worried, when you removed your card yesterday was there a 6 pin power connector going to each of the cards?
