    AMD Phenom X3 8650


    Hello.

    It's mandatory to run the x64 version of Windows with my AMD Phenom 64 X3 8650 processor?

    What version would you recomand me to buy if I have just 2GB of RAM?

    No it is not mandatory and I would recommend any 32bit version with just 2gig RAM

    I concur, with 2GB of ram, unless you are planning to upgrade that to 4+ I would stick with 32 bit windows. Any version you like, but here is the comparison list so you can compare features and see which windows you think you need ^_^

    It is advantageous to use an X64 OS when you:
    have more working memory (over 3GB)
    run many programs simultaneously
    have newer hardware.

    Your processor will work the same under x86 and x64

Apparently the CPU has been overclocked, but tends to revert back to AMD Phenom II X3 720 from time to time. The CPU is inserted in the ASRock N68-VS3 UCC motherboard.
