I have comfirmed that the Hard Drive is in fact, dead. I have tested it in my Dell Inspiron 1545 and my computer didn't detect it at all.
I'd like to thank everyone who has posted in this thread and I will award everyone with Rep for doing so.
This thread will be marked as solved shortly.
Again, thank you everyone for your help.
Sidenote: I still don't know why Ubuntu and Windows detected the HDD fully but the BIOS didn't. All I know now is that the Hard Drive is gone, dead, finished.
It'd be a real shame if my HDD was to fail on my current computer (Inspiron 1545). Any ways of preventing this? This'll be the last question I ask.
Thanks!!
EDIT: Does running the occasional CHKDSK prevent it from failing? I know all HDD's fail, but I want mine to last its longest and get the best out of it.
