All you had to do was press "Health" in HDtune. You have used the benchmarking function instead.
    Nope

I suspect that there is another version that I have not loaded.

There must be functionality that my version of HDTune does not provide. I see no way that this application can help me predict when I am going to have a HDD failure.

Is there more to HDTune than this snip reveals?

    Attachment 177166

Is the S.M.A.R.T feature available in Windows 7 Home Premium?
Do you have smart enable in BIOS? if yes, click on Health.
I went into the BIOS and enabled SMART. When I rebooted, it failed to start and went into recovery mode.

After the repair action was completed, I am up and running but nothing has changed. Next time I boot, I'll check for the BIOS change BUT I am leaving well enough alone for right now.

This is what I get. Your problem probably runs deeper than simple SMART, try resetting everything by removing the battery if you're upto it.

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

It is showing the data for your SSD in the second screenshot though. Probably due to the older version you are running.
