Mine is a network to the desktop. Unhide files again & in Devices and Printers right click on the printer icon and create a shortcut(in will go to your desktop).

Right click the shortcut on the desktop and go to properties.

In the shortcut tab click on Change Icon button.

In that window highlight the location and copy it to a notepad if you want.

Then paste it in the start menu search, right click it and go to file location you should see your icon.

Yep....I figured it out on how to get there...it still shows the old icon. I've dropped in another icon picture and removed the old one and it still shows up in device/printers as the old picture icon....now I'm at my wits end.

    BTW...nice GUI instructions...thanks.

Did you make sure that the new icon had the same name as the old icon? Did you restart afterwards?
