No, I have no drives that are IDE installed. My SATA mode is set to AHCI mode.

I see, well, I have no IDE drives. Do I change that setting for the storage controller to AHCI if it's available?

That's about it, the rest of the settings are standard, as I didn't change anything other than the boot order. The only other thing I changed which you can see in the picture is the Realtek PXE OPROM. I put it to Disabled since I don't use it and my first black screen booted to that.

I did that, and still says no hard disk is detected when I restarted. I think there is no point in having it enabled as it is searching for something I have not set-up.

    Should I disable it then?

    I disabled it and saved.

When I restarted I saw the ASUS logo screen and it booted up straight to Windows.

Yeah, been using Windows now for 20 minutes since I restarted. Since I disabled it, nothing has changed. Still working like it did when it was enabled.

Should I just leave it like this and see if I experience another black screen? Could be awhile, since they don't happen often at all.

I can see all my drives under My Computer.

When I click properties on my C drive (which is my SSD), I see in the general tab:

    Type: Local Disk
    File system: NTFS

My used and free space and the capacity graph.
