    just a normal start and type cmd . when you get to the dos prompt type defrag and hit enter. it should show us the status of your partition on the ssd drive.if its in the list to defrag, thats normal. i am sure you know how to defrag a hard drive. i would recommend relaxing for a bit , let the computer rest. boot it up after it has rested. i'd like to know how it runs in a cold boot.

    I did that, it returned with: You do not need to de-fragment this volume.

    Other things it said was Total fragmented space: 9%.

    Yes, I use Puran Defrag and might do a boot time defrag too.

    Ok sure, will do that tonight.

    Thanks quester, hopefully disabling the Marvell Controller solves the black screen problem. I'll report back if it comes back again. Other than that the computer runs perfect (so it should, it's new).

    Hi quester,

    Left the computer off all night, so about 7-8 hours. Turned it on now, and still works as good as it was before.

    Hopefully that ends the black screen drama.
