Have just tried a test power up on the new Asus P8Z77-V board and the error light adjacent the 24 pin stays on.
Now thinking it was a RAM stick I changed out the stick for the other one - same result. Have now tried all combos with two / one stick/s and it seems the problem is in DIMM slot B2...
Avid media center user for many years... spent most of last week upgrading XP MCE to Windows 7 (Professional) and troubleshooting.
After install/updates etc (see configuration below) I've found system WAY too slow (CPU near 100%) when running 1 media center session (over xbox360 extender or PC)...
