    Audio issues, lagging noises. How can I fix this?

    Hey there so this thread is a copy of a previous thread however it seems that thread was not completed and I have that same problem. Anyway here it is;

    I've been having a problem lately while listening to any audio on my laptop. I'll be listening to music or watching a movie/show and suddenly the audio makes a "bzzzzzt" type noise and it doesn't happen just once, sometimes several times just during a song. Any idea as to what is causing this?
    BTW this happens when I'm playing any type of media file.
    Here is the link to the thread; Audio issues, lagging noises.

    Thankyou

    Welcome to Seven forums JonoF.

    Is the noise from the laptop speakers, headset, or external speakers? One thing may be dirt on laptop speakers, try blowing them out with canned air. Check Device Manager for any yellow triangles.

    Thankyou for the welcome, so the noise occurs at all outputs, so yea everything that you listed below. I'm guessing its the laptops problem but i'm not to sure , I have also checked on by device manager but no problems. What do you think?

    If you have Realtek audio, Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version , if not try uninstalling you audio drivers with Driver Sweeper, and reboot and let Windows Update grab a driver for you.

    Also been having the exact same issue just recently. XPS M1210 Laptop. Could have been a recent windows update, not sure.

    Any type of media file. Audio seems to hang everything up, not just audio. Either way, it seems something is grinding it to a halt.

    Give the ideas in my post #4 a shot as well.

    Driver sweeper will completely remove all traces of a driver. The uninstaller from Device Manager doesn't, always. Give you a clean slate to start, your option.
