Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

I think I solved the problem... I bought the new graphics board, but luckily I decided to open the PC case prior to uninstalling any drivers just to see what slot my board was in. I immediately saw a major problem.... One of the cables going to my SoundBlaster X-Fi Extream Audio card from the mother board was looped around in such a way that it was pressing up against the graphics card cooling fan so strongly that I knew it had to be preventing it from spinning.... I zip tied it away from the fan and restarted the pc. First thing I did was play a blu-ray disk for about 15 minutes with no issues. Then I rebooted the pc several times with the dvd still in the drive. The extra time it took the pc to read what the disk was at reboot was previously causing the monitor to lose signal. The reboots worked with no monitor signal loss too. Im excited!!!! it's too early to say if the cooling fan on the graphics card not spinning was the cause of all my issues, but so far so good... Time will tell as I continue to use the pc. I'll keep the new card a bought for a few weeks just until im sure everything is fine. I have 30 days to return it. Any thoughts?? Could the cooling fan not running for these last few weeks have caused any permanent damage to the board? thanks in advance...

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

I installed a windows gadget to monitor the GPU temp. It is showing my board is at 130-135F with the pc sitting at idle. Does that sound normal for this board? I dont do any online gaming so the biggest workout this board is going to get is playing blu-ray dvd movies. thanks!
