The i5 series is running Sandy Bridge, ain't they? It's also the i5-2500k I want to buy.

    Well, you had me confused.

I thought in your post 13 you said you were going after the i5-760, when you stated "for now, this is my target..........".

Well, now that that's cleared up... The i5-2500k is a great CPU. What I was saying earlier is that if you want to upgrade to Ivy Bridge, you can because the motherboard in the i5-2500k pack has the same socket as IB.

Okay, now let's talk about the graphics. The GPU is pretty much what your computer uses for gaming. Take a look at the benchmarks below, the GTX 280 comes in at 39th. If you were to go with a GTX 560, the 16th, you would get a significant boost in performance in your gaming.

Nice, the i5-2500k pack was a very good deal. As for the GPU, that ASUS card looks decent. Although I've never had any personal experience with ASUS graphics cards, I've heard they're good. Personally, I would go for something made by either MSI or Evga.

Is go with an ATI 6590 2gb over a 560. The believe they are similarly priced.

I'm not chipset decided on gpus yet, I've had great experiences with nvidia and ATI.

That might also be an option. The 6950 and GTX 560 are pretty much similar cards when it comes to performance. For me though, NVIDIA has always come out over ATI. As they will perform pretty much the same, just get whichever brand you prefer.

I think the extra 1gb will edge the 6950 ahead, unless the OP gets the 1gb version which is obviously cheaper

Sure, but it depends on whether Frederik wants to spend the extra money or not. As it shouldn't be all that much so it probably would be the better option. This being said, many people prefer NVIDIA over ATI. If that's the case here, then the GTX 560Ti would be the obvious choice. It really comes down to what experiences the user has had with both card manufacturers.

Looks good. Perhaps a bit overpriced but it does change from country to country.
