Chipset is defined by the motherboard.
Swapping a motherboard in a laptop is more expensive than a new laptop.

You're best bet is to do your research to see if others have successfully swapped the procs on your model laptop. That will tell you if it is possible or not. Most likely, it isn't, as a laptop is designed for one family of chips, and so is the internal cooling. If you wanted to be able to upgrade individual parts, you custom build a tower computer. If you go OEM or laptop, you always run the risk of not being able to upgrade.
