Thanks for adding the model number and you're correct this model has only the two usb ports and no express port. I read in the detailed spec's but if it does have an express port hiding somewhere than this is your only option other than repair or replace.

you could by an adapter that turned USB drives into NAS devices, and then access them via ethernet or wirelessly. But again its not the best solution.
i just tried to break a usb port on my old laptop... cant honestly see how you did it.. i only managed to by sticking a screw driver in and twisting it lol
