The graphics card needs one 6 pin PCI-E power connector. The PSU that you specify has none, although the molex to PCI-E adaptor that is included with the card will probably serve.

Newegg lists the card as "deactivated". Do you have another source?

I hesitate to recommend trying to upgrade a small form factor system like the 580s into a capable gaming system, but it's your money.

I have a 580S and considered doing the same thing. After considering it, I decided I would be better off building a new system with quality components. If you do decide to upgrade, I would buy another case so I was not limited to what I can put in it and could choose a regular ATX PSU and install it without worrying about having the cables you would need and the quality of the PSU's you are limited to. lus with a new case you would be able to add periphals to the front panel which you cannot do now, and have fans to cool it. Just my thoughts.

Just curious essenbe, would the big video card have fit into the 580 without hitting anything?

Possibly, but I doubt it. it has a micro ATX board that goes under the CD/DVD. If one would fit, it would also have to be a low profile card. With the current PSU, there is not even 1 4 pin power connecter available. The CD/DVD and card reader have to fit in vertical, it is not wide enough for them to fit horizontal. All of this makes updating quite difficult. That's why I would recommend another case that can fit an ATX PSU and alleviate all of these problems.
