Unfortunately, Verisoft Access Manager software is not

Unfortunately, Verisoft Access Manager software is not compatible with Windows 7. I ran into the same problem. You will need to download different fingerprint software. Digital Persona works great. You can download it from HP using the link below. You can update to a newer improved version when the download completes. I actually like this better than the Verisoft. My scanner works better with this software as well.

The software link...copy and paste...

Windows 7 Home Premium

I 've got a HP Pavilion DV 9580eg with an Authentec reader, Digital Persona works quite well with it in Win7/64 Home Premium. HP is not helpful at all in this regard, does not even mention "sp43883.exe" would help.

Windows 7-64 bit

I was using the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader on my XP machine and it worked perfectly. I only used it for password protection on site needing my password, NOT for logging onto my computer. Now with this new Windows 7 Desktop HP machine, as everyone knows, it will not work..............2 questions!!

1) Can anything be done to make this MFR work on the '7' machine?? I downloaded some drivers, but the computer gave me a message that they were not compatible.

2) If I cannot use the MFR, any suggestions to purchasing another one that will work with this computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated......thank you in advance!
