Added Disk not fully recognized by OS

I'm adding a third disk to my PC and am unable to get to a point where Win 7 recognizes the hardware with a drive letter. The Device Mgr says there are three hard drives attached and the Storage Controller tab recognizes the Marvel 91XX chipset and says the driver for the Sata III Ports is installed.

    MB: ASUS P7X58D-E
C:\ is Intel 80gb SSD using SATA II port
D:\ is Hitachi 1TB drive using SATA II port

Trying to add Seagate 2TB drive using SATA III port as E:\

The BIOS sees the drive under the Marvel Chipset but there it seems to want to set up a RAID array rather than just have another disk.

Any suggestions on what I need to do to get this drive fully recognized?

Go to disk management and see if it is recognized there. If it is, it will have to be initialized, and a partition added, formatted and a drive letter assigned. Then it should be recognized in the OS. If Disk Management sees it, just create a new simple volume and follow the wizzard.
