    Q6600

Gonna go over to the Yongsan electronics/computer market and buy one today. About a 150$. How can i tell that it's the current "Go Stepping" chip when I buy it?

    Google sez:

"Check your box and umner the ID number if it says SLACR then its a G0. if it says SLUMR(not sure if thats right) then its B3."

Yeah, WiFi Ed is right on the money...you definitely want a SLACR chip.

Looking at the label on the box for my Q6600, you want to look for something that says S-SPEC:

if it says SLACR next to that, then you have yourself a G0.

Congrats on the new purchase...it's a great chip. Also, overclocks well, if you are into that sort of thing.

These days, it is damn near impossible to find anything but the G0.

I bought mine well over a year ago - and it is a SLACR too....
