I found a G9 recently at Best Buy and was able to order it for $32. Couldn't pass it up at that price. It's been a very decent mouse.

Apologies for reopening this tread but i thought i'd just tag on to this one instead of opening a new one.
Anyhow the point.... I have got around £50 to spend on a new mouse. The options I have are the G9, G9x (if i use a voucher i've got for amazon) or the g500 (and save myself a few quid).
Whats people's experiences of the g500 and g9x in particular. I want a good solid gaming mouse for FPS etc. Is g9x worth the extra price compared to g9 and the g9 compared to g500 if you get me
Yeah I love my G9x, definitely the best mouse I've owned. I've hear some say it's uncomfortable, and that you have to hold it in a 'claw' like manner...have to say I don't get this at all, in fact it's the most comfortable mouse I've ever used as well.
After having my G9 for a few months now, I can honesty say that it's one of the most comfortable that I have ever used. And between work, and a plethora of home computers with mice, trackballs and touchpads..I've used my fair share.
Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna get the G9x since it will work out around the same price as the G9. I'm gonna wait a couple of weeks tho. Got so much coursework to do I cant afford to get distracted by gaming
No real idea. I downloaded and installed the SetPoint drivers on another machine so that I could set my custom LED colors to what I wanted on the mouse.
However, once I connected it to my actual workstation..I'm just using the built-in Windows 7 drivers for the device and it's working just fine.
