    Help urgently needed with monitor

Have just bought a new BenQ GL2440 24" monitor and I have it hooked up via HDMI..
However the display is about 1.5cm short of the monitor edges – all round and I have been into the resolution and it is showing the full 1920 X 1080 (recommended in the settings – landscape.

Have installed the drivers for it via the disk that came with it and still no go.
To be honest the instruction manual that came with it and on the disk is not that helpful and although I can pull up the menu I cannot find how to adjust what looks like the width and height settings.

    Can someone please help?

I wouldn't assume that the drivers on that disk are necessarily the best available. Have you tried the Windows 7 driver or gone to BenQ for a check to see if there are others?

Do you get the same phenomenon if you connect through other than HDMI?

1.5 cm is the better part of an inch and I wouldn't expect the height/width adjustments to be the proper solution if the monitor is not defective.

(from page 17 of the user manual)
If you wish, you can always adjust the screen geometric settings manually using geometry menu
items. To assist you in this endeavour, BenQ has provided a screen test image utility which you can
use to check for screen color, grayscale and line gradient display

Thanks fellas I just found out from Benq in Sydney that I should have a catalyst control centre - sorry should have said I was running it from an Ati Radeon HD 5440 card via HDMI cable. But I didn't have a catalyst CP on desktop.

Have now downloaded the driver for that card with Slim Drivers, got the catalyst control centre on desktop but now I have work out what to do in that.

The Benq fellow said something about scaling?

Thanks Mike I just found the settings I had to have that Benq fellow in Sydney was right it was the scaling.

Plus I didn't have the Ati driver downloaded thats why I wasn't getting the catalyst control panel.

Anyway thnaks to everyone as I was thinking it was going to be a long haul.
