Memory Banks installation

I just installed HWINFO64 from HWiNFO64 Download

Looking at my PC spec. I see that my memory modules are plugged like
Bank 0: 2GB
Bank 1: 1GB
Bank 2: 2GB
Bank 3: 1 GB

Bank 0 and 2 hold my 2GB modules
Bank 1 and 2 hold my 1GB modules

Is it normal or they need to be Bank 0 & 1 to hold 2GB and 2 & 3 to hold 1 GB

Yes, that arrangement is completely normal, although technically I couldn't tell you why. I'm sure some mobo/ram wizard can explain this.

What are banks for?
This was posted on another forum I frequent and liked it so much I thought I'd share it with you lot here. Hopefully this may be an eye-opener for anyone who is unsure how the banking industry works. “Punch,” April 3, 1957: Q: What are banks for? A: To make money. Q: For the customers?

Installation and Memory
There have been more than a few discussions, regarding installation of 7 and problems from too much memory. Has this problem been resolved or is it something that I should be prepared for when I receive my upgrade disc on 10/22? Currently using Windows Vista Prem 6 gb memory
