    Ram Compatibilty


    hi

    can i use my a 256mb ram from my old computer on 2 years old core 2 duo with 2 gb ram !!

    will it work with 2 gb + 256mb !! the old 1 is ddr2 and my 2gb is also ddr2

    my old computer had ddr1 so i coundnt use the ddr2 ram on it so its still new !!

    If it's the same version - DDR2 than maybe. You need to see what your owners manual say about using different densities - 2GB modules mixed with 256MB modules.

    Personally I wouldn't recommend it, with those modules being so low (256MB) I'd just as soon get a 1 or 2gig module and go with that.
