    Volt Core on a Pentium 4 HT of a friend


    Ok isn't this high for a Pentium 4 2.2volts he asked me if this is normal but I don't know is this normal ??

    It does seem high, based on the link, but have him go into the BIOS and check.

    thats way over Intels MAX spec ....
    Might be a glitch in CPUz though.

    Yes, the core voltage should be 1.25v - 1.525v.

    You should check the BIOS readings. They tend to be more accurate. CPU-Z depends on the sensor and they have been known to give false readings, particularly when they get old.

    He can't change anything in the bios but I looked at his temps with speedfan at they were ok. 47 °C,with load 52°C so nothing to worry about ?

    You're not looking to change anything, just to confirm or deny the software reading.

    In an AMI BIOS the readings are found under the Power tab > Hardware Monitor.
