a friend of mine told me that this board is better
    Code:
    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z68_DELUXE/
I'd be buying i5-2500k and an SSD. and as for the RAM. I might be limited to 1600MHz since there will be not much diferrence... should I pick 1600 or 1333?

I'd always go with an Asus board. I currently gave the P8Z68-LE model, don't need all the jazz like on board post readout and reset and power buttons, a simple screwdriver across the points does the same!
I'd go for corsair vengeance 1866mhz Ram. At default bios settings on an Asus board it will run at 1333mhz, but up the voltage to 1.5v and you'll get all 1866mhz of it. Plus the ram looks funky.

The deluxe comes with right angle mounted sata slots, has bluetooth built in, think it has dual bios and cmos clear switch. As well as on board power and reset, and post bios readout.

Unless your interested in that and a hardcore over clocker than the deluxe is the better buy, but bear in mind I had my core i5 running at 4.4ghz air cooled :) not tried since I water cooled it. So LE still packs a punch!

so. overclocking features of deluxe and le are the same. only the buttons? as I can remeber. LE only supports xfire and not SLI. I know for sure that deluxe support SLI

well overclocking wont be identical, the deluxe has an added heatsink and a few more premium components, but the average overclocker wont benefit.

It wouldnt surprise me the LE not being SLI ready, as majority of boards are only crossfire ready. id go as far as saying its an 80-20% affair.

Im a single card man fan. Id rather have one high performance card, than 2 to do the same job.

I'm just preparing my pc for further upgrades. planning to have gtx570. and sli it with another gtx570 after a quarter or so. and planning to research further on overclocking.

so my best bet is the deluxe?

here in the Philippines. it's just a few thousands or hundreds of money here difference
