    Hard Disk Failure imminent

maybe a week or two ago every time i start my computer it showed a black screen and said Hard Disk Failure iminent and have me to back back the hard disk and remove it.
Just today i start my computer and press F2 to continue the blue screen came up and now i can't go to the desktop and can't event use safe mode. I'm using another computer to open this thread.
    What should I do???

I would imagine I'd have heeded the graphic warning message generated by S.M.A.R.T... and backed up all my files, then run Spinpoint on the drive, or simply replaced it...

There is an old trick of placing a dying hard drive into a deep freeze overnight, which can enable some recovery of data the next morning - but that really only works for what are essentially mechanical errors and your drive may have had different issues
