Restart Cycle Problem on my newly built system.
Need some serious help someone, anyone! I am freaking out over here.
I put together my new rig tonight:
CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K
MOBO - MSI P67A-G43 (B3)
Memory - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
Hard Drive - Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III (SSD)
Power Supply - SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V
Case - Thermaltake V4 Black Edition Gaming Chassis Mid Tower Steel
GPU – EVGA 02G-P3-1568-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 2GB
CD-ROM/DVD-RW - ASUS 24X DVD Burner
Mounted the mobo, installed the CPU and fan, made all the necessary mobo connections, installed the PSU, installed the video card, SSD drive and CD/DVD rom drive. Installed RAM. Made all the necessary power connections and double and triple checked everything. Built it just like I built my last rig. So I go to fire it up so I can get Win 7 on this bad boy and I am having some type of problem. I power up the PSU and hit the power button and the LEDs light up, fan starts up and it seems the computer is starting.. then about 2-3 seconds later it shuts off and turns back on and repeats this over and over until I manually shut the power. In that 2-3 second window, I tried opening the ROM drive and it works. It just seems like the computer is stuck in a restart cycle. It won't start up, just turns on and keeps restarting endlessly.
A few things to note is the hard drive is 2.5 and I don't have a 2.5 bay, but am getting a 3.5 mount for it Monday ASAP but I don't think that is the issue to be honest. It's flat and stable. Also, this SSD drive is going to be used to install Win 7 on and used just for an OS. I have other HD's with all my media and etc on. I am new to SSD's and also the whole SATA 3.0/6.0 thing.
Any suggestions as to what is wrong? I can't figure it out and I am going crazy losing my mind.
