    I don't understand this.

See my previous post for what I would do if I were in your situation.

Ok, my laptop is orginally windows vista and i upgraded to windows 7, valid windows 7 disc,
I want to format my laptop completely like its brand new it just came in.
Do i format only the C: or all OEM parition and C:
    Clean the HD Drive first.
SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

Do i keep the OEM parition, i know what to do when doing a clean install
    Delete all partitions.

What if i just use the CD to restore my PC? Will that turn out it was brought when i got it? And do a Upgrade version install for windows 7 and not do custom install?

No one knows what those CDs will do. You don't have them right now and shouldn't just guess.

If they are actually "recovery CDs", and actually work, they will take you back to like the day you bought it. But you don't know what they are right now.

If you used them and they did take you back to the day you bought it, you could then do a clean install rather than an upgrade. And delete all partitions in the process.

Ok thanks cause my brother said he has the CD that wipes out everything like you just brought it. And when i do it can i just do a upgrade version and dont have to do a clean install will that still work? I heard recovery takes a long time?

I'd do a clean install, but only AFTER I had restored to factory condition using those CDs--if that is what they actually do. You have to find out.

Recovery might take a few hours, but I doubt it. You won't know until you try it. Regardless of how much time it takes, that is what I would do. See my post 29.

I've never used a recovery CD, but you will see some type of menu, asking you if you want to run a recovery. Leave the C drive connected as it is now. The process will overwrite everything now on C.

If you have any personal data on C now, you should copy it to some other drive or it will be lost during the recovery.

Don't delete any OEM partitions until after you run the recovery from the CDs.

If i were to had to recovery CD's and delete the OEM parition that would not affect me ?

As I said, do NOT delete any partitions until AFTER you use the recovery CDs.

You should still find out what is in those OEM partitions. They are probably not empty.
