HP 7260 PhotoSmart Printer
I didn't really need it, but I bought a used printer from a neighbor needing the money. From our discussion, I doubt that it has been used in quite some time, but after plugging it in, it seem to power up okay. Everything came with it, except a type B USB cable to go to the PC, but before spending any more money on it, I've been browsing the manual trying to figure how to use it.
At first, I thought it would work as a stand alone device, since it has memory card slot on the face, but since I see no means to view or select photos on the card, I guess that it does require being interfaced with the PC...yes?
The HP website says that this printer doesn't require an additional driver with W7, and that the OS will automatically load the driver, once the printer is recognized. Does that driver include the HP PhotoSmart Assistant, which appears to be necessary to manage the photo selection?
