Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Going to swap mobo and cpu shortly

Wish me luck.
Should go smoothly like it did the last time.
Win7 Ultimate 64bit
Last swap was a Q6600 Asus board to an i7 870 and Asus board.
Powered up, Win 7 saw the new hardware, installed drivers, rebooted and all was good.
Now is the i7 870 Asus to an i7 2600K Asus board.
I am still running my original Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit install from August 2009.

Now if the UPS man would hurry up and drop off the parts.

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

I imagine everything will go fine, I have done similar many times and the only minor thing needed was phone activation of Windows each time.

Have fun

Windows 7 and my 2nd mobo/cpu swap
I just have to say that Windows 7 is very good with hardware swaps. I initially installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in August of 2009 with a Q6600 and an Asus P5Q Pro and 8GB of ram. In November of 2010 I upgraded to an i7 870 and Asus P7P55D-E with 8GB of ram and Windows booted up just fine and...
