I did a clean install today and everything is working great now! Now on to my next questions:
#1: Does anyone know of a good register clean with a register defrag. Nothing fancy.
#2: Okay, now that I have a clean install, do I make a complete ISO of the C drive? If so if I want (hope full not) do another clean install, how would the ISO copy that I made work?
Again, thank you all for your help in this endover.
1. Many people use Ccleaner, but many people prefer not to use it as Windows 7 is pretty good at taking care of business.
2. You can use Windows 7's backup utility to create a full system image backup as this tutorial explains Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup
Acronis True Image 12 does a good job too if you prefer to use a third-party system image utility.
LEAVE THE REGISTRY ALONE!!!!
MS Windows 7 does a fine job keeping everything in order.
Now that you've done a clean install you might want to run a complete scan with you AV and do a full scan with MBAM.
Then make your recovery discs and enjoy your computer.

I second THW's comments.
It's been said many times that we're using Windows 7 now, not XP or Vista. Windows 7, in my view, is probably the best operating system Microsoft have released and it does a good job of looking after your system.
