Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-Bit

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Please have a read of this excellent tutorial: SSD - Install and Transfer the Operating System

When you install Windows to the SSD it will automatically be allocated the letter C as its drive letter, so the nearest you'll get for the internal HDD will be the letter D.

To get apps to install to a different location from the default C drive you should have the choice to do so if you choose a custom install.

Boot disk failed. How best to rebuild PC without losing user data?
My PC has just crashed and won't reboot. It looks like there is an error on the boot disk and given the past history of this PC and this drive I don't think it's worth trying to recover it. The PC was built with an 80Gb boot disk with windows installed and a 1.5Tb data disk with the user...
