You can't use unallocated space. You must format unallocated space to use it.

I haven't seen that warning before.
What happens if you use "Error-checking" on that disk?

I'd be tempted to borrow a Live Linux CD and use GParted to format that section.

What happens if you use "Error-checking" on that disk?



I'd be tempted to borrow a Live Linux CD and use GParted to format that section.
