AFTER REFORMAT MY 320 HDD MEMORY became 98. PLEASE HELP ME!

    i updated my laptop and defragmented it and suddenly there was a message saying that the E: memory need to be formatted then i formatted it then viola! everything works fine.

    to tell you honestly its like an accident. i never expected that it will be fixed.

    i am really sorry I know this kinda sound silly but its the truth.

    In another thread Unable to recognize USB flash drives (All) the OP was trying to format his pendrive which neither shows as RAW or unallocated in the Disk Management but only the capacity and no file system. He got the same error message "An unexpected error ......then restart the Disk Management or restart the computer"

    I was hoping that a fix by the OP here would help resolve that issue. But alas! no definite solution has emerged.

    The reason for E:/ is D:/ was already assigned to the CD rom drive:)

    It looked to me back in post #21 - third screenshot that the 3rd partition was already formatted primary (blue) and merely lacked a drive letter. OK E: if D: was taken but I'd still swap them around for "neatness".
