If you move my music from C to say E drive. Then there is no C:/users/yourusername/my music. The default location is E:/Users/yourusername/my music. Since there is no C/my music it will go to E/ my music. If I download a song to my desktop and move it to my music, it actually goes to E: my music. If set up that way the E: my music is the only my music folder on your computer.

Thanks essenbe Might just do that as well to make it absolutely set. The options in WMP worked a treat and as you suggest this will make no doubt about what is where and going to / from. :)

Thanks once again for everyones time and patience.

Hi John, with the User folders on another drive, that includes My Music so when you rip and chose the save to as My music, it will go to the hard drive, bypassing the SSD. Don't save to SSD then move to hard drive, that will cause unecessary writes on the SSD.

Before you set up your Users to another drive, use a clean drive along with the SSD so you won't have booting issues.

Hiyya Gary yep mate everything set now all going / coming from / to E: (spinner) just ripped and burnt a couple to see how it went and the WMP defaulted straight to the spinner for the "gear".

I have just dumped them all in Music for the time being - no probs really as the spinner is a 1TB anyway.
