    Comparing Hard Drive Performance

Is there a site, much like the video card comparisons, that lets you compare two specific hard drives, in terms of performance?

For example, if I wanted to find out which drive offered better performance, a Seagate 7200.12 1 TB drive, or a 500 GB Western Digital Green drive.

I have a pile of older hard drives like this and I'd love to be able to rank them in terms of performance, to figure out what to keep and what to sell.

    You mean something like this?

Charts, benchmarks HDD Charts 2012, Desktop Performance

    Charts-2012/benchmarks,134.html

If you have time and patience you can plug the hard disks and run the hdtune_free_version for real time results.

If there is Deacon i haven't heard of it. I would probably just go by how old they are, 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm, how many i have and what are you going to do with the extra's, sell, give away, etc.

I'm not sure what's up with Storage Review. They don't seem to offer a link to their database off their home page. However, it still exists:

StorageReview.com's Drive Performance Resource Center | StorageReview.com - Storage Reviews

It may be of use mainly for drives that aren't the latest.

Use HD Tune Pro to Benchmark between the Hard Drives to see the performance + the health status etc.
