Here is an older Intel 25, I kept on working in Photoshop while the test ran.. I dont know if it affects it or not.. but this SSD is fast as heck still.

Here is my Crucial M4 SSD's performance on the Marvell 6G Controller.
Is the performance comparison good when compared to the other M4 SSDs?

Also, do you think i'll have a better performance on the intel port?

Nice scores, AlexRD. Traditionally, Marvell ports do not get along well with SSDs, that may have changed in the past year. I have a friend who says he gets better scores on the 3Gb/s Intel ports than the Marvell ports. Others say they don't. I guess it just depends on the machine and the drivers used.

Just bought a Samsung 840Pro but it doesn't seem any better than my Intel 520. Look at the Write speeds on both.

The write speed for 4096 is much better on the second drive, whichever that one is.

It is better in a number of areas. You are just measuring Sequential Read/Write speeds there........which are useless. Run both of them through AS SSD and see what the results are.

Okay, here are the results on AS SSD Benchmark: Everthing looks better here than ATTO.
What is your assessment based on AS SSD and ATTO. Which brand is better? Please pardon my ignorance on this matter.

The Samsung is, in 4K read/write and really low access times, the main reason SSDs are so fast.

The Samsung is better............hands down. Not to mention it doesn't use a Sandforce controller.
