lol yep great test it gets better repeating it :)
Hmm it will be good to find out because I have just bought two Crucial's MX 300 525GB and 750GBIt's tells me the crucial is this much better![]()
Hi John,
when you do your Crucial MX300 525 compare it to mine, only 3 mths old
Should be interesting either way,, as im on SATA II.
Roy
Ok mate will do I think it might be a bit of a difference as I am installing it on a fairly new Asus laptop (a year old) I am using now that has SATA III an i7 55000U and 8GB 1600Mhz RAM and currently has the Samsung in it - not that I know much about the figures to be honest.
What will be interesting is I have at home an Asus ROG laptop that has better specs than this machine and I have a spare Crucial MX 300 coming if not already there at home. It has a Samsung 850 EVO in it like this machine and from the specs of the Crucial they are not that much slower than the Samsung eh?.
Hi,
Some if not most of the MX series have faster read speeds of the 850 evo's I believe
Writes are another story :)
Yep Mike but I think the 850 EVO has a 540 read and a 530 write which is only just above the Crucial 530 and 510. Having said that I have been tempted to try the 750 EVO out too because it is a lot cheaper than the 850 EVO and the only difference I can find is the write rate just 10 behind the 850.
What got me onto them is the price it knocked spots off the Samsung although the warranty period is not that great - not that I am going to wear it out real quick![]()
