I think you have a world record there, that SSD is a keeper

Your alignment and driver looks good.
I'll say. Is it normal for the scores to be so... out of the ordinary like that?

Happens occasionally, has to do with the new hardware, benchmarks need to be updated to get an accurate reading.

Sorry but, the reading is inaccurate.

    And repeating.........
I question the relevance of some of these benchmarks with real world software applications. After all isn't real world apps what we use PCs for????

Absolutely true. I have long stopped making those performance tests - and if I do, I am only interested in the 4K numbers. If the SSD 'feel right', that's good enough for me.

My personal reasoning is that I run one, perhaps two (after a fiddling if needed) on a new drive is to compare to the mean of my drive and comparable setups.

After that - the drive gets used. No more tests.

And despite my new drives lower 4k speeds compared to my m4's higher scores - the perceivable difference is negligible.

Still 'feels' good in the speed department and the extra capacity offsets any 'speed' loss.

Well, this is Show us your SSD performance 2 (so popular they made a sequel :)). But they will show a relative comparison especially on the same system. I haven't run one since my SSD was new. But everyone likes to show off so...

It's a good idea to run a benchmark when you first get a SSD, to check if the settings are correct and the drive functions as it should.
We have seen many posted here that were less than 50% of what they should be, indicating a problem. Many were corrected, this is the benefit of this thread.
And to show off a little

That is a good point. Especially for people who just start with their first or second SSD. But after the first half dozen, you get a feel for what is good and what is bad.
