Paul's nums are great. I wonder though why the 4K read is relatively slow. After all this is what the system uses most.

I just checked the nums of my 64GB M4 - the 4K read is over 17K

    Paul's ATTO is showing 4K read at 86,000. ????

I think samsung are throttling threaded on the 830s probably to stop people buying them for server use :) occasionally I see threaded benchmarks shoot up very high then drop right down.

Although at the same time my threaded's are lower than what other 830 owners get.

Also I tested my graphcis card on some stuff with pcie8x and it barely only loses 1fps so when I move windows it will probably be onto my marvell using msahci and I will manually run trim once a week or so.

Right, sorry I misread. I read it as 8,600.

I thought you might have misread it. No problem.

Thanks for the comments on the drive, it's a real speed demon for sure!

Just finished installing all my windows updates and putting all my favourite software back on now, clean installs can be a real pain in the butt!

The overall score has gone up a little now also:)

This is a TRIM tool for Crucial SSDs (+ others?). It needs to be run as Administrator.
    SSD Tool
It didn't seem to do anything noticeable for me.

I have used it too and I only saw s slight increase in ASSSD but no different than letting TRIM run as it wishes, this tool just invokes it at your command.

I did notice marvell had much lowr cpu usage which itself is a performance boost, sadly tho once the OS hit my drive I had sever lockup issues waiting for i/o of the ssd so now its on my intel. I will post later when browsing on the rig again with the score I now get with OS installed on it. It gets 7.8 on WIE.
