I used to believe exactly that. I experimented on one system with the Revodrive3 X2 but initially set up this system with a single Vector. To experiment, I then set up the identical system with the vector Raid 0 and noticed a clear and distinct improvement. Normally moving from a traditional hard drive to an SSD is the most obvious and dramatic improvement, however the Raid 0 of the vectors (note the 4K speeds) is distinctly faster and more responsive than a single vector. I have confirmed this by breaking the raid and loading an image onto a single vector. The difference was even more apparent when doing that. The loading of the Intel raid during boot adds minimal time to the boot process (27 seconds total boot). Obviously, daily disk images are the price paid for any Raid 0 set up.
