I suspect you're using a RAM disk as a cache drive. I tried it and had no performance gains at all.

These are not Photoshopped. Guess what combination gets these speeds? (Thanks to Praz of OCZ)
Very nice speeds for a quad channel DDR3 RAMDisk set up :)

I guess in about a decade, we can have those transfer rates on a non-volatile storage system.

You got it Britton30. it is a Ram Cache (Fancy cache- beta version) using 8mb of my ram. In my case actual performance is fairly noticeable, even over 2 vectors in Raid 0. I had to play with the settings, primarily increasing latency and enabling deferred writes.

Just slipped this SanDisk in for an upgrade to 8 and although I can't complain about the boot speed and stuff the figures look pretty sad.

    Oh I'm coming home soon:)

Yes mate I am a whole day off!! That SanDisk was not real cheap either at the time I bought it and I see they are now getting very pricey. But at least they sport the Marvell controller eh?

It appears as though the Samsung 840 Pro is not an ideal buy ?
