I have never seen that , i thought it was Magician at first.

    What do you mean ?

Is that a separate program for Samsung SSD's , what is SSDLifePro?

Its a free software and you can use that too.

    SSDlife Free Download

Be aware if you run ADWCleaner, it will flag it every time for some reason.

Had this SSD sleeping in my desk drawer since Black Friday 2014. Had bad disk issues with both my internal and external drives after a SD Port failure brought my computer to a reboot while transferring files. I was able to solve all the issues I had and copy the files I wanted but it made me install the SSD. Here are the benchmarks on Rapid mode. I'll try and redo it later on without it.

Has there been any consensus regarding which SSD performance application is preferred to obtain meaningful results from and help protect your SSD as well as data?

I just had a serious scare with my wife's laptop. I used it twice early in the day and then tried to again last evening and it did not power on. My initial suspicion was the Toshiba SSD (THNSNH). I worked with it further this morning and determined the Li battery had failed so, we are operational on AC for now.

Part of what I wanted to accomplish last evening was to transfer some files to an external drive for storage in preparation for running Macrium today or tomorrow.

Note, I am referring to single disk pc's. I do not have RAID or a dedicated storage server so, this may influence your response to my question(s).

    Hi,
    All ssd's need power :)
Samsung and samsung magician seems okay not bad price wise either for 850 evo's which is what I have.
But yes Macrium images to a totally separate hdd is necessary now days.

I think you misunderstood my question. I am trying to find out which SSD software application will be best to install on this pc so, I can trust the results it gives me regarding the health of my SSD. I prefer to perform this step before Macrium.

Samsung made these SSDs for Toshiba? This is the first I have heard this. Do you have a reference you can paste into your response? This would be appreciated.

Now I understand the confusion. Yes, this is not my Asus. Rather, this is my wife's Acer TMP645.
