Ok mate will do I think it might be a bit of a difference as I am installing it on a fairly new Asus laptop (a year old) I am using now that has SATA III an i7 55000U and 8GB 1600Mhz RAM and currently has the Samsung in it - not that I know much about the figures to be honest.

What will be interesting is I have at home an Asus ROG laptop that has better specs than this machine and I have a spare Crucial MX 300 coming if not already there at home. It has a Samsung 850 EVO in it like this machine and from the specs of the Crucial they are not that much slower than the Samsung eh?.

Well i hope my puny >> 9 << year old lappy knocks the spots of yours
    intel core 2 duo T5800@ 2.00mhz 4gb DDR2 ram

Its built like a brick ****house, (old colonial saying), and apart from replacing the HDD thru choice, the only thing thats failed on it was my battery
Best thing on it tho, the keyboard certainly not like the cheepy ones you get on normal of the shelf models.

Well I got the clone done and the Crucial MX 300 (750GB) is now up and running ready for the dual boot (original install on a 500GB Samsung 850 Pro)

The boot was really fast 14 secs to login which truly amazed me and this is the As SSD test came up as in the pic.

The result has me wondering if Crucial have got their read/write figures correct as this is if my memory serves me right better than the Samsung which has a better read/write according to the reviews.

    Hi,
I Believe crucial's do have a better read it's the writes that are usually slower.
    Samsung's are usually balanced.

Well Mike I was certainly surprised at the quick boot up it was definitely twice as fast as the Samsung drive boot.

    Hi,
Yep I'll have to fix that this weekend :)
I do have 2-256 mx100's one is a refurbished that is a replacement from crucial after one died on linux mint mate a while back it now has win-8.1 on it but I did relive the win-10 pro it was upgraded.

So just a little image and ssd swapping going on :)
850 evo possibly linux will like it better :/

But yep those are some sick comparisons

Very nice John but beyond my mans the MX 300 I am now sure is beating the Samsung 850 EVO I have been using and at 750GB just my size - $238
