    I was looking in my C drive for an installation that installed itself which I missed of course.It was ''Instaleshield update manager'',I did eventually got rid of,But came across at the top of the folders list in program files a folder it just had a long string of numbers and letters.
    can someone please tell me what that folder is?

    I have no idea. BUT, you may want to run a virus scan and download/run malwarebytes just to be safe.

    I'm pretty sure your computer was trying to install the .net framework.

    I don't see why not. It was an installation folder.

    BUT, I would first rename the folder to something like "trashthis". See if you have any problems. You shouldn't. If things are smooth for a few days, then delete it.

    Update,Went to rename the folder and this box popped up.
