i could change this things from control panel and user accounts. I still have got vista (30days trial) and i upgrade window 7 (window 7 i got is upgrade version can't boot). I have got windows Xp genuine but laptop dosen't accept will block it. because of that up error which i published. thank you ken
Were you able to run chkdsk following Ken's instructions?
IF SMART has detected an error I would think you should be shopping for a new hard drive before yours fails and you lose all of your irreplaceable data.

- ALL THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE OF WINDOW VISTA WHICH WAS IN TRIAL VERSION FOR 30 DAYS AND WISH TO INSTALL IN THE LAPTOP AND DID. WHILE I WAS ON THE PROCESS FOR VISTA INSTALLATION I DELETED ALL THE RECOVERY AND GENUINE FILE FROM THIS LAPTOP HARD DISK NOW SOME SAYS THERE IS SECURITY PROTECTION THAT'S WHY IT HAPPENS LIKE THIS BUT STILL IN CONFUSION. I run my laptop without having HDD but still error *serial number not found and down please press ESC key to startup menu. my laptop battery also doesn't hold charge for long just for a few minutes.

To help us help you would you please add your systems specs? Here's how:SystemInfo See Your System Specs Under System Manufacturer/Model Number add whether it is a desktop or laptop and whether self built.
Log in to Seven Forums and you will be able to transfer the info directly to the specs page in your profile from within the System Info app.
After doing this your specs will be available in each of your posts. Click on My system Specs in the lower left of this post to see how it should look.:)

You should backup your data to external media and replace your hard drive.
I have same problem but I have laptop with crashed screen that repair cost is 400 euros.........I am playing on plug in monitor but it dont show up picture untill windows 7 starts up. Can I solove this problem by only using keyboard because I cant see anything so I cant use mouse ;(
