SSD Vertex 3 problem with performance

60gig Vertex 3 connected to a PCIE card (sata 3) Ran a test when it was brand new no OS or programs See first results.
I then used an Acronis Image to install the operating system and programs .
The results have dropped of considerably and a memory error has appeared see second results.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem?

Brian, your SSD is not aligned. Have a look at this tute by Wolfgang.

Thanks for the reply, I did that and it aligned ok I then used the disk image again and it was even worse.
I have too many programs installed to do a clean install at the present but I am going to do a clean install of Windows 8 Consumer Preview first week of march after checking it out first on my spare Computer for a couple of days.

What version did you use to make the image and what version to load? I know True Image 2010 had a problem with SSD alignment. Not sure about 2011 but it should be fixed in the 2012 version.

The Paragon Alignment tool ($30) will align it for you without loss of data. But, clone it to a spinning drive and use Paragon Migrate ($19.95) to put it back and it will transfer the os and align the SSD at the same time. I've used Paragon Migrate quite a few times and it does perfect every time.

Used Paragon alignment tool and it worked.
Still getting Sata 2 speeds so I can assume that the card does not work in the Pcie slots that I have on my board.

Glad you got it sorted. I used the Paragon Migration tool to transfer from a spinner to my SSD. Got it as a giveaway, then got the newer version as a giveaway too. A Guy
