Serial number not found (hard disk 301 Error)

    Dear sevenforums.

-I got HP compaq Presario CQ61 laptop.
I- check on bios and there is no serial number and product number.

FIRST ERROR WHILE I OPENING LAPTOP (MESSAGE ON BLACK SCREEN)
    * Serial number not found
    - AFTER THAT ANOTHER MESSAGE ON BLACK SCREEN
    *Smart hard disk error
the smart hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. to ensure not data loss please backup the content immediately and run the Hard disk test in system diagnostics.
    Hard disk 1 (301)
    F2 system diagnostics
Enter Continue stratup For more information please visit:- www.hp.com\go\techcenter\startup
-NOW IF I ENTER WINDOWS WILL RUN AS NORMAL
AND AGAIN IN WINDOW I CAN SEE AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING
    * windows detected a hard disk problem
-BUT IF I CANCEL THE ERROR MY LAPTOP WILL RUN AS NORMAL PROCEDURE.
    - ALL THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE OF WINDOW VISTA WHICH WAS IN TRIAL VERSION FOR 30 DAYS AND WISH TO INSTALL IN THE LAPTOP AND DID. WHILE I WAS ON THE PROCESS FOR VISTA INSTALLATION I DELETED ALL THE RECOVERY AND GENUINE FILE FROM THIS LAPTOP HARD DISK NOW SOME SAYS THERE IS SECURITY PROTECTION THAT'S WHY IT HAPPENS LIKE THIS BUT STILL IN CONFUSION. PLEASE HELP ME IF I INSTALL NEW HARD DRIVE WILL IT BE OKEYA. WHEN I SEARCH ON HP WEBSITE IT SAYS HARD DISK ERROR BUT STILL I CAN RUN MY WINDOWS.

As the messages indicate, the drive is in danger of failure. Loss of SMART data is an early warning. Have you done as it suggests:

the smart hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. to ensure not data loss please backup the content immediately and run the Hard disk test in system diagnostics.

There are a number of programs to test the drive, but the one that comes to mind at the moment is HD Tune.

I doubt that this error is caused by flashing the BIOS, but anything is possible. However, the logical progression for the process of elimination is to test the drive, before doing anything else.

EDIT: Why did you flash the BIOS in the first place?

I installed new operating system from win7 to vista while on the process i did partition too. In HD tune Health it shows me
    (05) reallocated sector count 93 93 140 855 failed (Highlighted with RED Color)
    (B8) (unknown attribute) 100 100 97 0 ok (Highlighted with yellow color)

The part that matters is the data for (05). It clearly states that the drive doesn't measure up to minimum on that parameter. The solution should be to replace the drive. Do you have or can borrow a spare drive to test with?

It seems to me that we have already covered that question. The only way that I know of to be absolutely certain is to replace the drive and see what happens.
