My Computer won't detect my External Drive


Please help...

I have my external drive, I am connecting to my computer but its not detecting.

I have HP probook 6455b, window 7 laptop.

What should I Do?

Same Problem with 3TB Seagate

I have had this hard drive for a year and the same thing happened except with a clicking noise and i followed the steps but wen i typed list disk in cmd it only show disk 0 not the hard drive

I have similar problem with seagate 1tb external hard disk I m posting screen shot for above reply.

Please start a new thread instead of tagging on to an old thread. Explain your problem in detail instead of saying "similar". Also please post a screen shot of your disks in Windows Disk Management. ( Please remove any other external drives/pen drives/Card readers to avoid confusion)

Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

The only thing I would add to the above tut:

Go to the Tool bar on the Disk Management Screen, click on " Show/Hide Console Tree" and "Show/Hide Actiion Pane" so that we get a full screen view without those.
