360 Remote Windows Sleep

so ive been having this issue where as when i sleep my PC and than turn it back on and try to use my xbox 360 remote, i cant. it not active. windows and games detect that its there, but i cant use it. it wont respond to anything. the only way to get it to work again is to unplug it and plug it back in. when i boot up for the first time, it works, only when i sleep it than wake it it dosent work.

how can i fix this?
